Purple and Green Birthday Cake

This is a cake I made for a girl's 15th birthday party. It had 3 tiers of chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. Each was decorated in a different pattern of purple and green-- the birthday girl's favorite colors. I added chocolate details to the bottom of each tier and topped the cake with gum paste candles and flowers. I served the cake with some simple vanilla cupcakes topped with purple frosting and an adorable chocolate candy.

Drama Mask Cupcakes

These are some cupcakes I made for an 18th birthday. They loved drama so I decided to make chocolate candies to go on the cupcakes that look like the comedy/tragedy masks. The cupcakes were carrot cake with teal colored cream cheese frosting.

Google Cake

This is one of my favorites! A Google cake for the teacher of a computers class. It was a ton of fun to make ad it came out great! It's a yellow sheet cake on the bottom and styrofoam on top (this was just so that people could still look at the design after the cake was cut). Both pieces are covered in fondant.

Tea for Two - State Fair 2009

Hey there!
Every year I like to enter a cake (and sometimes cookies as well :-)) into the state fair! Well, it's about that time of year and I'm starting to get excited!
Here's a look at what I did last year-- It won a blue ribbon!!!
(this is not actual cake. The fair suggests you use styrofoam so that the cake doesn't get gross when it has to sit in the showroom for 3 weeks!)
